Just a reminder to us all. Let's make sure we keep up good customer service. I think now it is more important and our customers will appreciate the extra effort. Happy Day!

I've done the same thing. Branched out to inspections and reinstated my real estate license. I'm using the extra time to get training and have my first real estate buyer under contract. Holding my breath that it closes.

I have just recently been impacted by this subject due to FANLA's decision to jump on this NNA background check band wagon. I think this all an unfair ploy to squeeze money out of people who's income is already iffy due to the type of market we are in. All the signing agencies I do business for had already required an extensive application for the purpose of background checks so why in the heck do we have to be subject to this garbage now!?! I will be fighting this bogus requirement at every corner.

Great article and insight as usual. I have gained so much from Mobile Notary Network - great info, and networking device.

I have only been contacted twice. I have responded by calling the phone numbers which you gave me with the text alerts. When I called it said "the call could not go through at this time, please try again later". I am perplexed on this, it has happened twice... How can I reach back to get the job?

I have recently been called by a closing service. They are NSC or Nations Signature Closers. They actually pay what you and your expertise are worth. Great schedulers, happy to have been contacted by them, and am now in their database.

I accepted a Signing from an agency for $100, the edocs totaled 247 (plus the borrower's copy), I went to the place we were to meet, waited an hour (they did call once to say they would be a few minutes late. Eventually they came, spent another hour looking over the papers then decided they wanted their attorney to look over them. Sorry, my paper until I get paid, they would get back in touch. Since they did not close I was not even paid for printing over a ream of legal size paper and wasting over two hours not counting my travel time and expenses. For all this, I was paid $0.00 not even a thank you for trying.
Mistakenly, I received another copy of the Settlement Sheet, they had charged them $250 for Notary fees and the Notary got zilch. Pretty nice people, but it takes all kinds and every horse has one.
